Week of January 16-20

 Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day which is traditionally a day of service.  This would be a great opportunity to raise money for Top of the World School’s Wheelchair Mission.  No school on Monday the 16th.

Week of November 28-December 2

This is Parent/ Student Conference week.   Students come to the conferences too!  Monday-Thursday schoo lis dismissed at 11:40.  Friday is conference day only…no school.

**Remember to plan ahead for the Fifth Grade Holiday Boutique on December 14th!  If you have information about a charity you want our class to sponsor…present it to the class to vote on.

Week of November 21-22

Happy Thanksgiving!!!  We will only have two days of school this week. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are holidays!

Remember to bring in 2 sticks and decorative materials to class by Monday.  We are making a Native American spirit stick.  What will yours be?  Spirit of the wind? the forest?  fire?  the ocean?   think about what inspires you in nature and come prepared for this project.

Week of October 24-28

This is a big week! Here are some reminders and this week’s homework.  HW Oct. 24th

• Wednesday is our overnight Pilgrim field trip!

• No school on Thursday… Get some rest…

• Return your signed Progress Reports

• Bring costumes in a bag to wear for our Halloween parade (1:45p.m) on Friday.

• We will have our class party after lunch on Friday, before the parade!

We are going to the Pilgrim on Wednesday!!!!  Let me know if you
have questions…

Students come to school in the morning at regular
time on Wednesday. Parents pick up students at 12:00. There will not be buses! Students need
to go home and eat a big lunch! Arrive at the Pilgrim in Dana Point Harbor
(directions below) at 2:30 with gear in hand. The program begins promptly at 3pm. DON’T BE LATE!!! When you get there,
have your child eat a snack and use the restroom. They will not eat again until
7:30pm! Please supervise your child at the dock until the program begins at 3:00.  You need to pick up your child the next morning
at 9am. They DO NOT go to school that day! We’ll see you back at school on
Friday!
